We Are Creatives CIC is a not-for-profit arts and culture collective increasing public engagement in the arts, boosting community connectedness and using art as a tool to enhance well-being.  Through art we are breaking down community divisions, decreasing social isolation and highlighting mental health matters.

Thurrock’s involvement in art and culture is significantly below the national average.  Yet, engagement in the arts should be inclusive and available for all, it should not be dependent on where you live or your social, educational or financial circumstances.

We promote participation by supporting artists, organisations and individuals to help shape local arts opportunities and increase the quality of arts experiences locally.  Within 6 months of launching our in-person engagement has been over 20k.  We have organised events, held workshops, connected creatives for commission work/hire and carried out commissions/exhibitions to achieve this. 
 

We are bringing together creative people into one community. WeAreCreativesThurrock.UK is an online creative hub for Thurrock promoting and improving the art and culture in the borough.  We are determined to raise the profile of art and culture in Thurrock.  We welcome everyone and appreciate submitted features, messages and use of the forum. There are so many amazing artists and creatives in Thurrock and through appreciation, collaboration and engagement we will build a stronger community. We want to grow with you.
