The Music Man Project Thurrock

The exciting Music Man Project (MMP) is starting in Thurrock! This successful musical educational programme for children and adults with learning disabilities provides accessible tuition leading to inspirational performances. The MMP are no strangers to performing on world renowned venues such as The London Palladium and The Royal Albert Hall and their aspirations are building.
Every MMP performance was made possible with the MMP music education programme (created by David Stanley BEM, UK Government Disability and Access Ambassador for Arts and Culture) which enhances students' innate musical abilities.

“Last summer, while facilitating a workshop, I witnessed the benefits which come with people actively participating in the MMP. The high-energy performance of the visiting MMP originals was inspiring.
I saw participants in these workshops come out of themselves, playing instruments and taking to the stage to sing, sign and dance. It was certainly uplifting and the smiles and laughter stood testament to this.
“The way in which the service is taught makes the route to becoming a performance artist accessible to everyone. With several instruments to learn, new songs, and a supportive environment to promote learning, development, and well-being, this is truly a wonderful opportunity."
